The frame is powder-coated aluminium, and aluminium cannot rust, meaning you can leave the set outside all year round without worrying about the usual steel-frame problems. Steel rusts from the inside out — moisture enters through joints and bolt holes where powder coating cannot fully protect. By the time rust shows externally, the internal structure is already weakened. The natural rattan is hand-woven HDPE (high-density polyethylene) rattan, UV-stabilised to cope with sun exposure. Unlike PVC rattan, HDPE keeps its shape better and doesn’t turn brittle after a couple of summers.
